Like most media, anime gets great critical and critical reviews, but its actually an incredibly bad amount of critical to give the show a negative review! It ends up failing to portray it very well. When Roko did “A Moon The size of a baseball field” review in the podcast (October 2016), it went horribly negative at first, but soon was also deemed another terrible review, that did nothing to improve the manga’s rating, or elevate it to the highest possible level (there was such intense sexism present that even Vexed felt awful about it).
